The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has launched a new program that enables passengers to pay for their bus fares at booking counters by scanning QR codes.

This is an effort to improve customer convenience.

In addition to HRTC's booking counters around the state, this option is now offered at counters in Delhi, Chandigarh, Haridwar, and Dehradun, among other places.

HRTC has partnered with Paytm, the industry leader in mobile wallets, to put this digital payment system into place.

All HRTC booking counters now have sound boxes and scan codes installed, which makes paying easier for both customers and booking clerks.

Upon payment of the fare, both the passenger and the booking clerk will get an instant acknowledgment over the sound box with a confirmation message.

Many digital wallets, including Paytm, BHIM UPI, SBI YONO, Google Pay, Phone Pay, etc are supported by the QR code scan payment option.

This initiative supports cashless purchases and satisfies commuters' tech-savvy desires, all while adhering to the greater trend of digital transformation.

HRTC is investing in cutting-edge ticketing equipment in addition to introducing QR code payments.

With the use of these devices, travelers will be able to conveniently pay for their bus fares with digital wallets or conventional ATM debit and credit cards, ushering in a new era of convenient and sophisticated transportation transactions.
