What Features Do Apple AirPods Offer in An Android Device?
AirPods features in Android devices
The AirPods work just like any other wireless headset once they're connected. However, because Apple is constantly innovating, they built the AirPods with the following functions, which you can use with your Android devices as well:
-
Double-tapping an AirPod while it's in your ear to play or pause audio.
-
Skip forward and back.
-
Music and film audio.
-
Call audio and any other audio that you would normally play through your phone’s speakers
-
Activate and deactivate the noise filter or ambient listening mode.
What AirPods Features That Do Not Work on Android?
Features that Android devices can’t support
You cannot expect the functionality of AirPods on an Android smartphone to be the same as that of an iOS device or a Mac. Naturally, some features are unavailable.
-
Siri: Since Siri is the virtual assistant for Apple products, you can’t use it when the AirPods are connected to an Android.
-
Automatic on/off: AirPods are a small set of earbuds that automatically turn on, connect to your device, and switch off when not in use. Yet, this feature is unavailable on Android devices.
-
Single AirPod listening: You may turn off the second AirPod and utilize just one to save battery thanks to this feature. However, Android does not support this.
-
Find Me: You may use the Find My function to locate your missing AirPods. Unfortunately, Android-powered smartphones are unable to use this feature.
-
Automatic Ear Detection: Another feature that Android users aren't able to enjoy is that if you take off your AirPods when the automatic ear recognition is enabled, the music immediately pauses or plays over the device's speakers.
-
Automatic Switching: The automatic switching function, which lets you switch devices easily when you get a call or whatever, is also gone for Android users.
Final Words
Aside from the exclusive features, what makes AirPods unique are their user-friendly features, like their seamless audio control. Without using the phone, you can pause, skip, and even change the level with just the AirPods. Even while you can accomplish similar tasks with other wireless headphones, the AirPods' ease of use elevates them to a new level.

Currently using airpod pro gen 2 on my s22 ultra
Had some funky issues but that's been fixed in firmware updates, I bought and use pod battery which shows me a pop up with battery on pods and case along with some other features like double tap end, triple tap to skip songs etc.

Some of the above can be achieved on android with third party apps but not natively supported.

I personally use them with my Android phone (OnePlus) and my iPad, there are some differences I notice in functionality, for example: spacial audio and talk detection cannot be used, but transparency, noise cancelation and adaptative mode work well in both, I can't really notice any difference in audio quality between them.
