WiFi QR Code Sharing Gets Material You Change in Android 16 DP1
Android 16 Developer Preview 1 (DP1) is already out, and it includes some outstanding updates, such as a new Material You makeover for WiFi QR code sharing.
Normally, when you share a network with another device using the WiFi sharing option in Android, a regular QR code shows, which speeds up the process of connecting a camera-enabled device.
As with all Android releases, there is a likelihood that further modifications will be included as the developer preview and beta phases advance.
Even still, it's a good touch to bring some cohesiveness to other parts of the system that have been tweaked with the introduction of Material You in Android 12.

The charming new QR code is similar to the design of various first-party widgets for Drive, Photos, YouTube Music, and other services.
Fortunately, it works with previous Android builds and other operating systems, so there are no compatibility issues. QR codes are most reliable when square; however, nonstandard shapes are often acceptable.
Google certainly tested this properly before releasing the Android 16 Developer Preview 1.
