WhatsApp to Facilitate QR Code Sharing: Things You Should Know

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature that would let users send QR codes directly from the chats tab.
For a future software update, WhatsApp is investigating a shortcut that would allow users to quickly share their QR code directly from the chats tab.
Although users may now share their QR code through the app's settings, this new functionality will offer a quicker and simpler way within the chats tab interface.

Notably, the username is expected to appear instead of the phone number when sharing the QR code.
Thus, this functionality could be added later on once username support is introduced.
Users won't need to go through the app settings to share their QR codes because this feature is integrated directly into the chats tab interface.
Additionally, using the QR code-sharing tool more frequently is encouraged by having the shortcut under the chats tab, according to the report.
