Capitol Avenue Bronzes, in collaboration with Arts Cheyenne and the City of Cheyenne, will offer additional interpretive information via a new QR code system.

More than sixty bronzes have been installed in downtown Cheyenne since the Bronze Project was founded by local gallery owner and advocate for public art Harvey Deselms.

Commencing this past weekend, those bronzes were also going to have scannable QR codes attached to them, which would direct bronze fans to the Arts Cheyenne public art database, which had more detailed information about the sculpture, the artist, and the sponsors.

Michael Morris, president of the Arts Cheyenne Board, stated, "The Capitol Avenue Bronze Project has brought incredible value to downtown Cheyenne and the Cheyenne public art landscape."

"By guiding visitors to more detailed information about the artwork, these QR codes will enhance their experience with public art even further."

This spring and summer, more than a hundred public artworks in Cheyenne will have more QR codes added to them.
