Stations around the state are collaborating with the Kentucky Autism Training Center to tear down barriers on the road. This idea aims to help both cops and residents during traffic stops.

Drivers can request that the scannable code be added to their car registration. Law enforcement will then utilize the code when they approach the car.
Eligible participants must have a health condition or impairment that may impair their communication abilities. Warren County Sheriff Hightower thinks the new code will be especially useful in emergency scenarios.
Notably, this new function is free to all participants.
