Bus Riders May Now Report Problems & Give Feedback via QR Codes by GoDurham
Durham is now working to ensure that all passengers have high-quality bus stops.
According to Sean Egan, the City of Durham’s Director of Transportation, it all began with a simple question to passengers about how the city might improve transportation.
"We received feedback from our customers. We discovered that passengers weren't satisfied with the appearance and cleanliness," Egan added.

Thus, in order to obtain immediate feedback from passengers, QR codes are being added to buses and at busy bus stops.
"After getting a request, we want issues looked upon within a day. We want someone to go take a look at it," Egan stated.
He explained that after scanning the QR code with their phone, users would be directed to a questionnaire that requests some basic information and the location of the bus stop.
Additionally, users will be asked to report issues with landscaping, damage, and others.
To eventually expand them even further, the new QR codes will be installed this week at 108 of the bus stations with significant traffic volumes.
