Chinti & Parker, a British luxury knitwear business, have adopted digital product passports (DPPs) in the form of item-level QR codes on their fall/winter 2024 main and autumn basics collections, including the Mr Men Little Miss line of clothing, allowing buyers to view product information.

Scanning the QR code on a clothing label provides the buyer with specific product information, such as the origin and composition of the materials used, as well as their journey through the supply chain.

According to Chinti and Parker, this improves the customer experience and inspires positive change by allowing customers to make educated and value-aligned purchase decisions, both of which are vital to the business and its ongoing commitment to the environment.

"This collaboration brings to life the benefits of connected product data, offering consumers visibility while demonstrating the possibilities for a more sustainable and informed fashion industry," says Andrew Xeni, founder and CEO of DPP technology provider Fabacus.
