The brand touts itself as a healthy energy beverage, saying on its website that it "stands out versus other brands since it's produced with healthier components such as guarana, ginger, green tea, and 7 key vitamins.”

They also claim not to use artificial preservatives, flavors, colors, or high fructose corn syrup in our drinks, and neither do they use sugar.

What Is A Celsius Drink?

Celsius energy drink is a carbonated (sparkling) energy drink boosted with extra components that the brand says help training and weight reduction.

In addition, this energy drink is marketed as a professionally validated dietary supplement that increases metabolism and energy levels. It comes in a variety of tastes and is sugar and preservative-free.

The fitness industry now accepts energy drinks and sports beverages as the standard.

Some individuals sip them for flavor, such as mixing cocktails with Red Bull or Celsius, others depend on the energy boost to go through a workout, while still others substitute one of their favorite brands for coffee.

Energy drinks, which are stocked with caffeine, are well known for their ability to provide users with a fast increase in energy.

Some of the other well-known energy drinks in addition to Celsius are The Red Bull Energy Drink 250 ml, Monster Energy Zero Sugar, NOS High Performance Energy Drink…

What Does Celsius Claim?

Celsius energy drink says that when paired with exercise, the drink boosts metabolism and hence improves weight reduction.

To back up this specific claim, they have cited some studies that were conducted using the beverage. These studies make the following claims:

  • The combination of Celsius energy drinks has been shown to boost thermogenesis. This has a particularly big effect since a hotter body speeds up metabolism.

  • Among previously sedentary guys, their drink enhances the physiological reaction. They say that their beverage can improve the cardiorespiratory response to exercise, decrease body fat, and boost lean muscle.

  • Also, they say that the beverage's ability to postpone exhaustion will enhance frequent, brief performances.

  • They claim that their substance boosts lipid profiles and endurance.

It's important to note that these studies also emphasize the unknown long-term impact of regular consumption of this drink on body composition.

Celsius Ingredients

So now, let’s dig deeper into this product’s ingredient list to see whether Celsius is indeed a healthy drink or not!

Caffeine

Celsius doesn't have astronomical quantities of caffeine like other energy drink brands. The amount of caffeine in one can of Celsius is 200–300 mg.

How does this caffeine level compared to Red Bull vs 5-hour energy caffeine? Well, it is double that of a Red Bull and three times that of an ordinary cup of coffee or green tea.

But in general, it is still less than the 400 mg limit suggested by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for adults per day.

This signifies that Celsius has a moderate caffeine level.

According to the Celsius brand, the caffeine components in the energy drink come from green coffee beans and guarana, a reddish-brown climbing vine that thrives in the Brazilian jungles.

These two caffeine powerhouses complement each other to boost energy, alertness, attention, and performance.

Sugar

Here's some good news for you: Celsius has no sugar, as the company claims.

Since it includes no sugar, aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, artificial preservatives, colorings, or flavors, it is a better alternative than many other energy drinks.

Rather, Celsius' proprietary combination delivers you a rapid energy boost that's supposed to increase metabolic activity and assist burn fat, making it a good choice for a workout drink.

Vitamins and minerals

Celsius is enriched with a variety of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B, vitamin C, calcium, chromium, and sodium. They are compounds that your body needs.

They do a variety of important things, like mending wounds and boosting your immune system.

These critical vitamins also give Celsius a healthy boost since they assist brain function, protein synthesis, metabolic regulation, and immunological health.

Other notable ingredients

Although Celsius does not include sugar, its flavor is fairly sweet because of the presence of an artificial sweetener called sucralose.

Sucralose, although a zero-calorie sugar alternative, is 400-700 times sweeter than sugar.

This zero-calorie sugar alternative may cause health problems such as:

  • Migraine

  • Insulin sensitivity

  • Inflammatory bowel disease

  • Irritable bowel syndrome

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Is Celsius better than Red Bull?

Celsius is considered to be healthier than popular energy drinks such as Red Bull.

Celsius Energy offers 10 calories for every 12 fl.oz serving, but Red Bull has 110 calories for each 8.4 fl.oz can.

With Celsius, its calorie count will not have a significant influence on your entire calorie consumption, making it a healthier alternative, especially if you're on a diet or want to invest in it for a lengthy period.

2. Does Celsius make you lose weight?

Yes. The studies show that using Celsius before exercise can help decrease body fat, boost endurance, and prevent weariness.

This is due to increased metabolism and increased nervous system activity. Meta Plus, a special combination from Celsius, works with your metabolism to help you burn more calories.

3. Does a Celsius drink make you poop?

Celsius can make you poop because it contains caffeine.

It is a stimulant that enhances gut motility or the contraction of the muscles that move food through the digestive tract.

This stimulating impact might cause loose stools or diarrhea, both of which can contribute to dehydration.

I've been experiencing acne that's red, swollen, and painful. I've consulted with a dermatologist who prescribed topicals and antibiotics, but I've noticed only slight improvement. My sister mentioned that her friend had a similar experience with acne possibly linked to biotin in Celsius drinks. I would greatly appreciate any advice or input on this matter!

I’ve been getting acne that’s red, swollen, and painful. I’ve been to the derm and they proscribed topicals and antibiotics but it seems to only help a bit. My sister told me the Celsius drink has biotin and maybe that’s what’s causing my acne as that’s what happened to her friend. Any advice/input is appreciated!

I'd stop drinking it for at least a month and make sure to drink a ton of water during this time.

This also happened to me. Different flavor but also from a powder packet and it’s happened when the drink was in an open and sealed container and not refrigerated. Weirdbsimpson@wilkinson.com

Anything other than water which has an xenobiotic substance in it will “turn on” the digestive machinery in some capacity, which by definition breaks a fast
